SHUSWAP NATIONAL MEN’S LEAGUE

Every Thursday, come out to Shuswap National to take part in our Men’s League! For $15 (plus green fee), you can take part in some friendly competition and maybe go home with some fantastic prizes! This year, we’re including a new prize for the lowest front 9 score, so that even you can’t manage to sneak out of work early enough for a full 18 holes, you’ll still have a chance to take home a skill prize.

Individual Stroke Play – 1 player

June 16th

Vegas – 2 players
Both teammates play through the hole, if one of the two players makes par or better, the lower digit is used as the first digit, and the higher number is used as the second digit.
Ex: if player A makes a 4 on a par 4 and player B makes a 6, the team score on that hole is 46
If neither player makes a par, the higher number is used as the first digit instead, and the lower number is used second.
The lowest score is the winner

Players alternate hitting one ball through each hole. Whichever player holes the final putt of the hole, the other player tees off the following hole

June 30th

Elimination Scramble – 4 Players
Similar rules to a normal scramble, but whoever’s shot was used last cannot hit the following shot. This rule only applies until the golfers reach the green, all players can putt regardless of who hit the last shot.

Yellow Ball – 4 players
Each team of 4 is given a yellow ball. Players take turns using the yellow ball each hole. The team score is the sum of the score of the player using the yellow ball and the lowest score of the other 3.
If the yellow ball is lost, for the remainder of the round, the team score is the sum of the two highest scores of the four players

August 11th

Scramble – 2 Players
Both players hit their shots, then select their preferred shot, and then both play from there. They continue this until the hole is complete

August 18th

6-6-6 – 2 Players
Holes 1-6 are played as Best Ball
Holes 7-12 are played as Alternate Shot
Holes 13-18 are played as a Scramble

August 25th

Stringball – 1 Player
Every player gets one foot of string based on their handicap, the player can move their ball without penalty up to the length of the string. Players must cut off the part fo string used to move the ball once it has been moved

September 1st

Ace In The Hole – 4 Players
Each player plays their own ball through the hole. After the hole the team selects one persons score to use. After next hole, the team must select another score to use but cannot select the same player’s score as the first two holes. After the next hole, they must pick another score but cannot select either of the player’s whose scores have been used. On the 4th hole, the final player’s score must be used. The cycle then repeats
